Great fun.

I'd get it if it wasn't $50 and the fact that no one else would have it to play with. Very realistic with a completely distructable environment. Soldiers are built in squads, they can take over heavy weapons of either side after the crews been killed, morale is a factor at times. Love it. I played the demo of Warhammer: DoW quite often when it came out but never bothered to buy the game. If you have it than maybe I'll pick it up.

That is a shame, when they were testing Company of Heroes I was invited to the Beta, but damn it! I never did. I wrote the key # down and lost it.Oh well, I will look for it. Speaking of destructible environments, I used to play Silent Storm which had the same thing. but that was a 3rd person shooter where you controlled 4-6 people. It also was a RTS game. I enjoyed that for quite some time.
I prefer the RTS that come out in Squads, Platoons, Companies or Regiments; what have you. That way you don't have to CTRL+1 to create a sub-unit like you do in AOE. Battle for Middle Earth does that too and so does another game that I played this summer--can't remember the title. It had to do with the Romans v. the Egyptians. You had a "Hero" who had special abilities and could level him up to acquire new talents.
I will look for demos of CoH & Warhammer. If I like it, I might go get it. My wife tells me that in my life, Everyday is Christmas!
