FFX

After FFIX I was very disapointed with the Final Fantasy crew, however I JUST bought FFX and I LOVE IT. Haven't touched my MMOs since I bought it. I think I like it almost as much as VII. . .and since everyone says XII is as good as VII, I can't wait to pick that one up too.

anyways, if your not a big FF person, I would still check out FFX. . .by itself it's like watching an interactive movie And the story line is awsome, I usually can sniff through a movie or game story line in the first 15-20 minutes, but this one has surpised me quite a few times and I'm not even half way through yet.

Yeah FFX was awesome, don't know what the hell the were thinking with FFX-2. Never played the online one, and haven't had a chance to play XII yet, but I want to.

I loved FFX, but I just couldn't get into FFXII, I'm not sure if it was the characters, the combat or what. X is, if not my favorite, one of my favorites. On the other hand, they're pretty much all my favorites, except VIII and, as previously stated, XII.

Probably will be even better for you, cuz you (hopefully) didn't have the the plot spoiled for you by a cousin before you played it.

Man, FFIX was my favorite.

VII: Didn't like. Too overhyped by the time I got to it. Gave it several fair shots, guess I was spoiled by other ones.

VIII: Thouroghly enjoyed till the very end. Wasn't impressed with Ultemicia and the story line got completly screwy near the end. But hey, it's FF.

IX: Loved. My favorite. Favorite characters, music, battle system, story line.

X: Loved until someone way back spoiled the story line for me two days after I bought it. Collecting dust somewhere.

Never played XI and I heard XII was good but not superb. Didn't hold the charm of the old ones. Who knows, havn't tried, hope to soon though.

I think i love you lone.... i thought i was the only one that didn't like FFVII. Thought the game was a complete bore fest. FFX was great till mid way through when it got very repetitive. I enjoyed 8 and 9 quite a bit.

Nice to see someone agrees with me. I'm thinking people loved it so much because it was the first 3-D one. I dunno but that's my guess. And like you, I very much enjoyed VIII and IX.

Probably because when you played it, it had lost it's since of origonality for you, since it was a key building block to many RPGs.

Had you have played it when it was still a new piece of gamming I think you'd feel differently.

Probably. But there were a few things about VII I just didn't like. Music is absolutlely a must for my RPGs, let alone any games, and I didn't like VII's music beyond the two battle songs and JENOVA. And I got bored really fast, not sure why and I usually developed a headache while playing it. Who knows but you're right Drox, I prolly would've felt different.

I know what you mean about the music, there's a few tracks that I love, and the rest is just boring. I did like the gameplay a lot though, and if you turned the battle speed to max you could make things even more fun. That's actually my only complaint with IX, seems like battles were just a bit slower than I liked them. Probably my fav of all of them though, despite that.
