??? Perhaps you read wrong.

**EDIT** I think I see the confusion, what I meant was growing up I never watched anything to do with Transformers, yet I still loved the movie.

Then thats some good praise, if you don't have to have watched the series way back when and still enjoy it.

I'll probably see it some time this summer.

If your friend doesn't mind some masturbation references in conversations, sure. The action gets intense at points though, might scare a young kid (it's PG13) and when you might not want to have a 5 y/o asking questions about that.

Did you honestly expect a great story or dialog Jedi?
I figured the battles would be great, which they were. As well as the action sequences but the one thing lacking for me was how little they used Starscream and how much they used frenzy.

the stories in the series were very weak as well. so the movie was not expected to have a great story. it was an awesome movie!

Honestly, they're robots turning into Earth vehicles, I doubt any story could make that not weak. They just so happened to be able to transform into vehicles that just so happen to look like the ones on Earth? I don't think anyone went to that for story. I know I went, same for HAC, because there were giant robots kicking eachother's ass in really cool ways.
