We've got the PC versions I belive.

I love my character, I've already been invited into the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild. All in one game day. I'm a dastardly fellow in game. :)

Of course I am working on battle-mage so thus in the mage guild. I will be nice to be a caster and not have to wear cloth. Became a vampire but not sure how and working on the cure now. Next is to join the thieves guild.

Damaen, does the xbox version have some sort of multiplayer? I know the PC is single player only.

He might be able to talk to people through XBL even though the game is SP only. And yes road, the game is still SP only even though its for the 360.

Btw, my character is a hardcore thief. If you need to know where to go to get some fast money, I can tell you how :). Had the character for 3 days, already have 45k gold & lots of expensive items + I have stolen near 10k items.

I think I will stay a vampire for a bit and see how that goes. I heard that it is handy for getting past “difficult” quests. Feeding on beggars is pretty easy when I don’t want to break into a house. I have the vampire cure quest which I may do at some time but I first want to work on my mage guild quests and start thieving. My build is nowhere near monkey’s for stealing but once I level stealth it would be ok.

BTW I picked up the guide mostly for the maps. If you need to know where something is hit me up on TS.

I created a wood-elf ranger, working on Theives' Guild then probably assassin's. All in all I'd say I find it much more immersive than Morrowind (though I can't say why; it seems very similar.) I still don't necessarily like the leveling up system; I get athletics, acrobatics, and sneak way too fast and marksmanship really slow. Of course that's because I'm sneak attack killing almost any enemy and if not pulling out my sword to finish it off. Still, though, I feel like what to me was a horribly slow pace in Morrowind has been alleviated.

Speechcraft as it is is a whole lot better than it just being a number comparison; I'm glad it was changed. Being a thief in general is pretty fun, but I got caught to visit someone in Jail at one point and lost all my stolen armor and weapons, so watch out! The whole thief/assassin thing fits my playstyle much more than I would have guessed; it's just hard to pass up a free 3x damage by hitting sneak before taking the shot.

Graphics are off the charts... It's great to be in some dark dungeon having to cast torchlight to see things then come outside and see a sunset off the side of a mountain. My only real problems graphically are that the far-distant textures just look bad sometimes, and foliage can be too dense. I'm playing the PC version with everything up all the way minus HDR, and I'm happy. :D

After you serve your sentence and break out of prision. Use your lockpicks to pick the "Evidence Chest". All your stolen items will be in there.

Monkies Thieving tips!

1. As lone said. When you get caught, steal the stuff out of the evidence chest.
2. STEAL KEYS. Plain and simple. I had like 90 stolen keys. I owned ALL of Bruma.
3. For good gear (stolen), do the following!
-Fast travel to prison
-Must be AFTER midnight
-Break into the Legion Commanders office
-Steal his keys (Legion office key is the one you will need, I think... To be on the safe side, steal all of them)
-Tip on pickpocketing; ALWAYS quicksave (F5) before you do it. If you get caught, quickload (F9) and you will have another chance.
-Unless you have a high sneak skill, it will take a while to do all of this.
-Once you have stolen everything from the chest, you can either equip it or sell it to the thieves guild fences.
-NOTE: The chest restocks itself every few days... Not sure on the exact time, but I think it may be once every 5 game days. (Once a week)

On my thief character, I have upwards of 30k in weapons/armor in my house.

Note: The game adapts itself to your playstyle/level. I went to an area on my thief across the river from the Sewer exit at level 20. Everyone there had enchanted weapons, expensive armor, etc. (I managed to get a full set of Glass armor :O)

But I started a new character and went to the same area and they are equiped with Rusty Iron weapons & Fur armor.

For instance on something I found in the world just walking around: A fucking OGRE. Thats right, a huge 10 foot tall can of kicking my ass. Took me forever to kill it. I go to the same area on my low level character; It's a crab.

I heard that Morrowind got really easy when you hit high levels, I don't see that happening in this one....

From what I read the drops (armor/weapons) also scale per level. At level 1 they will be wearing the crappy stuff and as you level the good stuff comes. I saw a table which described what type of armor was available per level range but not sure what that was.

Hint: To increase you mercantile skill you must move the “haggle” slider to the right even if just a little bit. Small crappy things sold back increase the skill just as much as large good things so sell back as much as you can to increase it. I am going to test it today but I think if you sell each arrow back individually you will increase the skill for each time. The reason I want to increase it is that once it hits a certain level you can buy/sell any type of goods at any vendor. Not more hunting down the right one.
